Advisor to Balochistan Chief Minister and a senior leader of the Muslim League (PML) from Gwadar Ashraf Iqbal Baloch told newsmen that a local group of investors Hashoo Group had started construction of a five-star Pearl Continental Hotel in Gwadar. Another local company, Vision Gwadar had started work on a large resort named Platinum Ormara in the coastal town of Ormara, where standard facilities of tourism and recreation would be available. It had also started construction of gymkhana in Gwadar.
Royal Resort Company had established two hotels of two-star rank in Suntsur tourism site near Gwadar, which would start functioning within a month. Progressive Balochistan Group was developing a resort in Kund Malir area of Lasbella district near Ormara.
Many other local and foreign leading investors were visiting various coastal sites of the province to find ideal place for their investments.
He said besides increasing local investment, billions of dollars investment was expected in the province from multinational companies of the United States, Japan and China due to very attractive economic policies of the government.
He informed that Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Mohammad Yousaf had directed the Gwadar Development Authority (GDA) to execute the housing schemes in Gwadar city at the earliest to match the expected population pressure there, when industrial and commercial activities would take off in Gwadar and the adjoining areas.
